Hello World…

I’m Gemma, a mama of two, who loves to travel and explore this wonderful world….I’ve found the best advice always comes from those who have actually lived it; So with that in mind I decided to curate a travel blog especially for families like ours who love to travel with their kids. Written by families, for families – real stories of real adventures, the good, the bad and the pretty darn funny things that happen as we venture out with our babies. Tips of what worked well, and more importantly what didn’t!

I’ll be sharing my own stories alongside those of friends who have taken their kiddos to some pretty darn cool places. If you’d like to contribute to the blog please contact me!

We are based in the Lake District, England, and when we aren’t enjoying holidays we run two restaurants – The Old Stamp House and The Schelly, both in Ambleside. My husband, Ryan is a Michelin-starred chef so its fair to say our travels definitely involve some foodie moments. I am a Zoology graduate so I love all things wildlife, and also have a passion for photography. As a family we love a good injection of city energy, but definitely prefer wild, open spaces for relaxation. My daughter, Isabella is now 13 years old and my son, Charlie is 10. Isabella is a passionate dancer and performer, and Charlie is all about football, fell running and fishing!
